We had our house closing with the bank last week, and today big machines showed up and started to knock down trees!
YES, CONSTRUCTION ON OUR HOUSE HAS BEGUN.
This is so exciting!! The bank process felt like it was taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r and would NEVER be over (in large part because the bank ran way behind schedule, so it was taking forever).
It's so, so satisfying to see something concrete happen towards making our dream house a reality. WHOO HOO!
There's a bottle of wine in the refrigerator waiting for us to celebrate the start of construction tonight. To new beginnings!
